Structural Technician

ATG are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Technician to join a dynamic engineering team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will be proficient in structural design and detailing, with experience using industry-standard software to produce high-quality technical drawings.

You will collaborate closely with engineers and architects to develop structural solutions for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural drawings and models using AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
• Assist in the design and detailing of structural components for buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure designs are accurate, functional, and meet project specifications.
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with structural designs.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Work within project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet quality expectations.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and specifications as required.

Key Requirements:

• Qualification: A relevant diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a consulting or engineering firm.
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software is essential. Experience with Tekla or similar structural analysis tools is an advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and relevant structural design standards.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and an eye for accuracy in technical drawings.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive approach to resolving technical challenges and design issues.
