Structural Engineer

Our client is a leading engineering consultancy firm specializing in structural and civil engineering projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their team in Longford.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of structural components for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality designs.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Utilize industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
• Ensure projects adhere to relevant building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Assist in project management, including cost estimation and timeline planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and Irish building regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is an advantage.
• Full driving license and ability to travel to project sites when required.
