ATG are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a growing team in Cork. The successful candidate will work on a variety of structural projects, from initial concept design through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural elements in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations, Eurocodes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments to monitor construction progress.
  • Provide technical input on feasibility studies and planning applications.
  • Support senior engineers and project managers in the successful delivery of projects.
  • Assist in mentoring junior engineers and graduates.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in structural design.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
