Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive execution strategy for MEP/CSA (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing/Controlled Environment Systems and Automation) aspects of the data centre project, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and timelines.Oversee and coordinate steel erection activities related to MEP/CSA systems, collaborating closely with the steel erection team to ensure seamless integration with MEP/CSA requirements.
- Manage procurement activities for MEP/CSA materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards while optimizing costs.Work closely with the pre-construction and design teams to provide input on MEP/CSA requirements during the pre-construction phase, ensuring constructability and compliance with design specifications.
- Develop detailed pre-plans for MEP/CSA activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies, to ensure efficient and effective execution on site.
- Oversee MEP/CSA-related activities during the foundation phase, coordinating with the civil engineering team to ensure proper integration of MEP/CSA systems with the building structure.
- Address and resolve MEP/CSA-related queries and issues that arise during the construction phase, working collaboratively with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to achieve timely resolution.
- Spend approximately 15-20% of time in the office, primarily for planning, coordination, and administrative tasks, with the majority of time spent on-site overseeing construction activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ideally, candidates should possess a trades background in MEP/CSA disciplines, although candidates with relevant degrees in engineering or construction management will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience of 5-10 years in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing MEP/CSA aspects of large-scale construction projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical or data centre sectors, or heavy civils.
- Must hold a valid European passport, enabling unrestricted travel and work within the European Union.Prior experience in managing MEP/CSA aspects of pharmaceutical or data centre projects is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific requirements and standards.
- A history of consistent and high-quality work performance, with strong references attesting to the candidate's professionalism, leadership, and ability to deliver results.
