Access talent group are currently recruiting for an international design consultant looking for a experienced Senior Waste Water Hydraulic Modeller for an office in Manchester.
We are seeking Senior Hydraulic modeller which you will be working as part of a growing and successful Urban Drainage and network modelling team working on Utilities network for a number of water companies’ frameworks. You will be working in a collaborative team who are also at the forefront of digital engineering and Smart machine applications which you can gain exposure in.
You will provide guidance & training, and promote staff development within the Modelling sector. You will assist with bids and the preparation of cost estimates within the project frameworks, and take part in the planning and coordinating of urban drainage projects. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver projects throughout the UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Construct, verify, and maintain various levels of wastewater models.
- Deliver feasibility studies, model use studies, optioneering, and development assessments for wastewater networks.
- Ensure quality of modelling outputs and compliance with standards, specifications, and governance requirements.
- Project management of small projects.
- Maintain strong and collaborative working relationships and interactions with clients.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with other team members to provide technical support and assistance.
- Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.Qualifications
Experience:
- 7 years in the modelling sector
- Have experience modelling from either a consultancy or water company.
- Must have a degree qualified in Civil engineering or a relevant subject area
- Not essential but very advantageous to be Chartered with CIWEM
- Proficient in modelling software using InfoWorks ICM
- Working knowledge of GIS Systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Skilled in the manipulation and handling of large datasets.
- You will have demonstrable experience in discipline-specific data analysis packages, which may be water-focused such as InfoWorks or InfoAsset.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
