We're working closely with a leading civil engineering contractor based in Cornwall who have established themselves as a dominant force in the region's infrastructure sector. About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil or Structural Engineer with a background in heavy civils to join a forward-thinking contractor. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a variety of infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on bridges, highways structures, and railway-related works. You will be responsible for both preliminary and detailed design, contributing to project planning and execution in close collaboration with other senior team members. While the role is based in Cornwall, there is flexibility to work remotely up to three days a week, with two days spent at the office near Truro.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior engineering role within the heavy civils or structural sectors
     
  • Strong background in preliminary and detailed design
     
  • Project experience in bridges, highways, railways, or other infrastructure works
     
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status (CEng or equivalent) preferred
     
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
     
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
     
  • UK driving license and the ability to commute to the office near Truro twice a week
