With a strong reputation and a robust portfolio of ongoing and upcoming projects, they are looking to expand their dynamic team by hiring an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The Role:
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial process on key projects, from inception to completion. Your role will include cost management, contract administration, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication, ensuring that projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standards. You will work closely with the project management and site teams to provide strategic insights and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring cost control and value for money.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents and contracts.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting.
  • Handle contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Provide mentorship to junior surveyors within the team.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar senior role within the heavy civils and groundworks sector.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; MRICS/MCIOB preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional negotiation capabilities, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction contracts (NEC, JCT), risk management, and current market trends.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Proven leadership abilities and the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
