Our client has a robust portfolio of high-profile developments and is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be pivotal in managing the financial aspects of various residential and commercial projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for cost planning, contract management, and ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standards. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, influence key decisions, and drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the cost control and commercial management of residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
- Conduct risk, value management, and cost control exercises.
- Manage contract negotiations, procurement processes, and subcontractor agreements.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters, including dispute resolution.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, cost forecasts, and financial statements.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, fostering their professional growth.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- MRICS or relevant professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on residential and commercial projects.
- Proven track record of managing projects within a consultancy environment.Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Excel, MS Project).
