Specialising in high-end commercial and residential projects, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional results that exceed client expectations. With a robust pipeline of exciting projects, they are now looking to expand their dynamic team with a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

About the Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of bespoke fit out projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise will be crucial in providing cost consultancy, contract management, and financial control, ensuring that our client maintains its reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for fit out projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and financial projections for new and ongoing projects.
  • Manage tender processes, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of contractor bids.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and control project expenditure, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure financial control.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and clients.
  • Resolve any financial or contractual disputes that may arise.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • MRICS or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on fit out projects.
  • Proven track record of managing high-end commercial and residential fit out projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, CostX, or similar.
