We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team in the petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects in our facility located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical expertise and project management skills to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure project deliverables are met
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the development and implementation of engineering solutions
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and compliance with industry regulations
- Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and technical presentations to stakeholders and management
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or deviations from project plans
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment for project execution
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of engineering technologies and solutions to optimize project performance and efficiency
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
Key requirements
- At least a 4 year degree in an engineering discipline
- Proven experience in project management within the Oil and Gas industry, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
- Familiarity with project management tools and software, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to quality and safety
