Our client is a leading player in the civil engineering industry, specialising in large-scale infrastructure projects. With a strong reputation for delivering complex and challenging projects on time and within budget, they are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join their dynamic team.

Job Description:

As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring all project milestones are met, and providing critical insights to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules for large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and update schedules accordingly.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and updates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, including progress, risks, and forecasts.
  • Use planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to create and manage project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices.Provide training and mentorship to junior planning staff.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning within the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale civil projects.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
