An esteemed M&E Design Consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Dublin. This firm has a rich history of over a century, offering tailored Mechanical and Electrical design services across various sectors, including Commercial, Residential, and Healthcare projects. They are recognized for their balanced approach to sustainable and social development, integrating innovative system designs and renewable energy technologies to deliver low-carbon, energy-efficient buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and specification of electrical systems for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated M&E solutions that emphasize sustainability and energy efficiency
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations to inform design decisions
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Stay abreast of advancements in electrical engineering and sustainable design practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is highly desirable
- Extensive experience in the UK and/or Irish markets, specifically within M&E design consultancies
- Proven track record of working on Commercial, Residential, and Healthcare projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of sector-specific requirements
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools
- Strong knowledge of local building regulations, standards, and sustainability certifications
