Our client, a leading provider of engineering and contracting services, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor specialising in either mechanical or electrical systems to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the delivery of industrial projects, ensuring that all financial and contractual aspects are managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveying Mechanical/Electrical Packages: Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial assessments of mechanical or electrical packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all project-related documentation.
- Procurement: Manage the procurement process for mechanical or electrical components, including the selection of suppliers and negotiation of contracts to secure the best value for the project.
- Tendering: Prepare and manage the tendering process, evaluating bids and providing recommendations to ensure that the project is delivered within budget and to the required specifications.
- Reporting: Produce detailed reports on project costs, progress, and financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.
- Schedule Compliance: Monitor project schedules to ensure that all works are completed on time and within the agreed budget, identifying and mitigating any risks that could impact project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 to 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong focus on mechanical or electrical packages within industrial projects.
- Industrial Project Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing the financial and contractual aspects of industrial projects is crucial, with a strong understanding of the specific requirements and challenges associated with these types of projects.
