Due to ongoing growth and an expanding portfolio, they are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Job Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. Your main goal is to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money while ensuring that the project meets all legal and quality assurance requirements. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
  • Ensure accurate cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Perform cost control and cost reporting.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Manage project budgets and monitor progress.
  • Measure and value the work done on site.
  • Liaise with clients and other construction professionals.
  • Prepare and present reports to clients and management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or similar.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
