Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our client’s team and play a pivotal role in the planning and execution sector of their operations. A successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery while managing costs and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Development and Management:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project schedules for large-scale data centre projects using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather inputs and ensure schedules reflect realistic and achievable timelines.
  • Integrate key milestones, critical paths, resource allocation, and dependencies into the project schedules.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track project progress against the baseline schedule and update it regularly to reflect actual progress and any changes.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis, including schedule updates, variances, forecasts, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct schedule risk analyses and identify potential delays, proposing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary contact for all schedule-related matters, facilitating communication between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct schedule review meetings with clients and project teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Provide clear and concise updates and documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Resource and Budget Coordination:

  • Coordinate with resource managers to ensure the availability and efficient utilisation of personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist in resource planning and allocation to prevent conflicts and optimise project efficiency.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs, analysing financial impacts and proposing adjustments to stay within budget constraints.
  • Quality and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all scheduling activities comply with company standards, industry best practices, and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedule documentation, including change logs and revisions.
  • Support the project team in adhering to quality control measures and regulatory compliance standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project scheduling and management.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of scheduling policies, procedures, and templates to enhance project delivery.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in scheduling tools and methodologies.
  • Software Proficiency:
  • Utilise project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for scheduling.
  • Employ Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, data analysis, and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Technical Engineering field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of total experience in project management, with at least 4 years in project scheduling for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the data centre sector.
  • Strong technical engineering background with hands-on experience in data centre or similar projects.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret project plans, specifications, and financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organisational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Language Proficiency: English speaking ability at C1 level or above, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
