We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team in the Oil and Gas industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Project Director will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring successful completion within budget and schedule. This is a key leadership role that requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive teams towards achieving project objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to ensure stakeholder alignment and support.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any obstacles that may impact project success.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
- Mentor and coach project team members, providing leadership and support to maximize their potential and contribution to the project's success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in project management within the oil and gas industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals.
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Solid knowledge of oil and gas industry practices, regulations, and standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and overcoming challenges.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Experience working in the UAE or the Middle East region is a plus.
