Access Talent Group are looking for a skilled Principal Transport Planner to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient and sustainable transportation systems for our clients. We are looking for someone with experience in international projects.

This is for someone who has experience working on International projects and has a keen interest in continuing the growth of international projects while in the UK. You will also be expected to travel internationally to see sites / Meet clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop transportation plans for civil engineering projects, considering factors such as traffic flow, safety, and environmental impact 
  • Conduct traffic impact assessments and propose solutions to mitigate potential issues 
  • Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and local authorities to integrate transportation plans with overall project designs 
  • Use transportation modeling software to simulate and analyze the impact of proposed transportation plans 
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices in transportation planning 
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate transportation plans and recommendations to clients and stakeholders 
  • Lead Transport strategy and public transport studies for international clients.
  • Contribute to business growth through business development.

Candidate Profile -  

  • Exceptional general transport planning skills including an understanding of transport strategy and public transport operations
  • A sound understanding of transport policy and current issues in developing countries
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects for transport authorities or multilateral development banks
  • Knowledge and skills to extract and analyse complex data sets to derive valuable insights
  • A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent report-writing skills (lead author on project reports and proposals)
  • A TPP (or similar) professional qualification
