Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Oversee and drive the operational strategy for data centre projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning to handover.
Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with construction, engineering, and MEP teams.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the key liaison between clients, subcontractors, design teams, and senior leadership to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.
Process Optimisation: Develop and implement operational procedures, ensuring best practices in safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry certifications across all data centre operations.Budget & Cost Control: Manage operational budgets, control costs, and drive efficiencies in procurement and resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Innovation & Technology: Stay ahead of emerging trends in data centre design and operations, incorporating prefabrication, modular construction, and automation where applicable.
Key Requirements:
Experience: 10+ years of experience in data centre operations, construction, or MEP project management.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP, CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural), and mission-critical infrastructure.
Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading large teams and managing high-value projects across multiple locations.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with Tier III & Tier IV data centre standards, prefabrication techniques, and hyperscale infrastructure.Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of European construction and data centre regulations, including health & safety and environmental policies.
Communication: Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration between different teams.
Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (MBA preferred but not essential).
