We have partnered with an international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy who are continuing their rapid growth in the offshore renewables sector. Typically, our client is known for their onshore civil infrastructure work, but over the last decade or so, our client has gained incredible experience in the offshore renewables sector. Thanks to this continued success, they are expanding their design and management team by hiring a Design Manager in the London office.

In this role as Design manager, you will be expected to manage yours and your team’s time effectively, ensuring complete project delivery while also developing business further by managing new and existing relationships in the market. The design manager will remain somewhat hands on, keeping their design skills sharp – but your main tasks will also include people management and client liaising. The successful candidate will take the design team to the next level, hiring Geotechnical, Structural and Offshore Engineers into to team to drive the business forward.

 

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Worked at Principal or Associate Engineer Level – Geotech, Structural. Sub Sea, Offshore
     
  • Management or mentoring experience of a team of engineers
     
  • Experience getting involved with commercial/contractual decision making processes
     
  • 5+ Years experience in the offshore (preferably Wind or Maritime) sector
     
  • The ability to work in the London Area
