Mechanical Contracts Manager

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join a fast-growing M&E contractor delivering high-quality fit-outs, refurbishments, and new builds across the education, healthcare, and science sectors. You’ll manage 1–2 projects at a time, typically valued around £5 million, and play a key role in delivering critical environments to the highest standards.

The Role:

• Manage 1–2 mechanical projects at a time across education, healthcare, and science sectors
• Oversee full project lifecycle – from pre-construction to handover
• Ensure compliance, quality assurance, and project delivery to spec
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, site teams, and subcontractors
• Maintain commercial and program control of projects
• Report directly to senior management

Requirements:

• Must live within 1 hour of Croydon
• Qualified to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience managing hospital, healthcare, or science fit-outs
• Strong technical background with excellent client-facing skills
• Experience delivering projects in the £1m–£15m range
• Able to work across both refurb and new build environments
