Access Talent group have partnered with an SME Maritime and Shipping engineering consultancy who have an exciting opportunity to join their new venture from the get go! Our client is based on London and has a team of Naval Architects, Maritime Engineers and Maser Mariners, with the next step to expand into the Maritime Civil space and catch-up to their competitors in an exciting market. Our client is looking for a Maritime Civil Engineer with an incredibly strong background in ports and harbours design, and/or expert witness and forensic investigation to join their team and get a seat at the top table from day one.
As a Lead or Managing Engineering, you will have a very heavy technical design focus, exhibiting your extensive project experience, working on unique projects throughout the UK and the world, providing you with the opportunity to gain international experience, and boost your career progression towards Principal Engineer and Chartership. There will also be an expectation that as a leader in the organisation you will be comfortable in mentoring much more junior colleagues, developing your own team over time.
Candidates must have:
- A degree (preference for MSc) in Civil Engineering or Maritime Engineering
- Experience in designing Maritime projects – Ports and Harbours, Bridges, Quay Wall, Pontoon, Jetty, etc
- 10+ years’ experience
- Achieved or looking to achieve Chartered Engineer status
- The right to live and work in the UK – Sponsorship may be possible
A demonstrable back ground in leadership, mentoring or Business Development – preferably all!
