M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:
As the M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical and electrical cost control throughout the life cycle of large-scale data center projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that these critical projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all M&E-related commercial activities including cost reporting, valuations, and payments.
• Ensure accurate cost estimation and budgeting for mechanical and electrical works.
• Prepare and manage project bills of quantities and ensure compliance with project scope.
• Monitor contract progress and identify potential risks, delays, and cost variations.Liaise with the project management, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on project goals and budgetary requirements.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions and value engineering.
• Prepare regular reports on project financial status, including forecasting and financial modeling.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and review of contracts and subcontracts.
• Manage change orders and variations in line with project and contractual requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 2 years in the M&E sector.
• Previous experience in managing M&E packages on data center or other large-scale technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and associated construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office suite.Willingness to travel or relocate within Europe as required.
