As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to our exciting projects.
Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of thier development projects in Dublin and Wicklow. You will be responsible for managing the costs and financial aspects of their projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, and other expenses.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project budgets.
- Procure materials and services in line with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying and addressing any deviations from budget.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, cost forecasts, and financial statements to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements to achieve the best value for the company.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice on cost management and procurement strategies to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with experience in residential or commercial development projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, SCSI) is desirable but not essential.
