We are seeking a multiple Hydraulic and Senior Hydraulic modeller to join a large international consultancy in Manchester or Leeds, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of a growing and successful Urban Drainage and network modelling team working on Utilities network for a number of water companies’ frameworks.
You will be working on Wastewater projects but will also gain experience and work on Urban Drainage modelling for River health schemes with wide range of size of projects. This framework will be 10 years enabling sustainable and security on project work. Within these frameworks, we are looking for passionate and create modellers who are here to make a change. You will gain experience and training in project management as well as optioneering training.
Responsibilities
- Construct, verify, and maintain various levels of wastewater models.
- Deliver feasibility studies, model use studies, optioneering, and development assessments for wastewater networks.
- Ensure quality of modelling outputs and compliance with standards, specifications, and governance requirements.
- Project management of small projects.
- Maintain strong and collaborative working relationships and interactions with clients.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with other team members to provide technical support and assistance.
- Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.Qualifications
Experience:
- Have experience modelling from either a consultancy or water company.
- You will be expected to have proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic.
- Proficient in modelling software using InfoWorks ICM and associated bolt-on packages.
- Working knowledge of GIS Systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Skilled in the manipulation and handling of large datasets.
- You will have demonstrable experience in discipline-specific data analysis packages, which may be water-focused such as InfoWorks or InfoAsset.
- General understanding of the UK water industry.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
