We are a leading transport consultancy based in Nottingham, specialising in transport planning, infrastructure design, and sustainable mobility solutions. We work with public and private sector clients to develop innovative and practical transport solutions that enhance connectivity and accessibility. As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will support our team in delivering transport planning projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. You will gain hands-on experience working on transport assessments, travel plans, and transport modelling while developing technical skills and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of transport assessments, transport statements, and travel plans for development projects.
- Conduct data analysis and research, including traffic surveys and trip generation analysis.
- Use transport modelling and GIS software to assess the impact of developments on transport networks.
- Support the development of sustainable transport solutions, including walking, cycling, and public transport strategies.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to gather and present information.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations.
- Stay up to date with transport policies, regulations, and best practices.
About you:
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A keen interest in transport planning and sustainable mobility.
