Our client is a well-established civil engineering consultancy based in Nottingham, specialising in infrastructure, drainage, and structural engineering. They work on a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, providing innovative and sustainable solutions. We are seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop technical skills, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, and structural works.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings.
- Support senior engineers in project delivery from concept to completion.C
- onduct site visits and liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
- Utilise industry software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage.
About you:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- 1-2 years of experience working in a civil engineering consultancy or similar role.
- Familiarity with design codes (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng or IEng).
