Grad +2 Civil Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Graduate Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in London, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible to designing infrastructure projects under supervision of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership.  

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare design calculations, drawings and reports under supervision of the Senior Engineer.
• Have or develop you knowledge of Codes and standards such as Highways, Water Industry and Drainage Act.
• Aid project design through the full lifecycle or any Civil Infrastructure projects
• Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for project design and planning 
• Attend meetings with clients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination and integration
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities 
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality 
• Have in place and maintain your professional Development IPD or CPD expectations

Candidate Profile:  

• Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred 
• One year of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management 
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD and desirable Civil 3D, Microdrainage / Info Drainage PDS and other design tools 
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction 
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
