They are expanding our team and looking for a skilled Estimator to join us in driving our continued success.

Job Description:

Our client are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for both residential and commercial projects across Ireland. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, cost management, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor and update estimates as project scopes change.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices, trends, and construction techniques.
  • Provide risk assessments and advise on potential cost impacts.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
  • Maintain detailed records of all estimates and project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on residential and commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs in the Irish market.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Buildsoft, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Full clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.
