Our client, a leading specialist in electrical engineering, is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for a high-profile Data Centre project in either Gavle, Sweden, or Frankfurt, Germany. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a background in electrical surveying to contribute to complex, large-scale projects in the industrial and data centre sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Evaluation: Assess and analyse contractual documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Inquiries: Plan, manage, and review inquiries from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring they align with project specifications and budgets.
- Cost-Effective Solutions: Provide valuable cost input during the decision-making process to ensure cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation Preparation and Distribution: Prepare and distribute necessary documentation, such as contracts, reports, and procurement details, to relevant stakeholders.
- Change Examination: Review and assess any changes to the project scope, ensuring appropriate adjustments are reflected in the budget and schedule.
- Variations Management: Monitor and document all variations to the project and ensure their impact is understood and accounted for.
- Progress Claims: Prepare and agree monthly progress claims, working closely with the project team and the client to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Subcontractor Accounts: Oversee and control subcontractor accounts, ensuring timely payments and budget compliance.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage and forecast the project’s cash flow, identifying potential risks and ensuring financial stability throughout the project.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (junior to intermediate level), with a focus on data centre or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and the complexities of working on large-scale industrial or data centre projects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to Gavle or Frankfurt for the duration of the project.
