Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Authority (CxA) Engineer to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process from L0 to L6, ensuring the successful integration, testing, and handover of MEP systems in data centre projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and innovate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with rotational assignments to various EU-based data centre sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commissioning process for MEP systems from L0 to L6, including design review, installation verification, functional performance testing, and documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of MEP systems, analysing results, and identifying any deficiencies or areas for optimization.
- Implement a tagging system (red/yellow/green/blue) to categorize and prioritize issues encountered during commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including design teams, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment and timely resolution of commissioning-related issues.
- Facilitate the handover process, ensuring all necessary documentation and training are provided to the client's operations team.
- Travel to various data centre sites within the EU on a rotational basis to support commissioning activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centre construction or commissioning, with a strong background in MEP systems.
- Proven experience in CxA management, overseeing commissioning activities from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of commissioning processes, standards, and best practices in the data centre industry.
- EU passport or eligibility to work in the EU without sponsorship.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
