The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of public sector projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for public sector projects.
- Conduct cost analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Manage and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review tender documents and contracts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Provide advice on procurement strategy and contractual matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress and financial status.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Professional membership with RICS or working towards it.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the public sector.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Excel and industry-standard estimation tools.
