We are working with an organically growing SME with a strong reputation for delivering innovative transport planning solutions. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Associate Transport Planner to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to contribute to business growth, lead projects, and potentially bring their own clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage transport planning projects from inception to completion.
  • Contribute to the growth of the team, supporting recruitment and mentorship of junior staff.
  • Play a key role in business development, identifying new opportunities and contributing to work-winning strategies.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships, with the potential to bring an existing client network.
  • Prepare and review transport assessments, travel plans, and feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical expertise on transport planning matters, including junction modelling and sustainable transport strategies.
  • Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and other project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong business development and work-winning capabilities, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A track record of successful project management and client engagement.
  • Proficiency in transport planning software such as Junctions 9 (PICADY/ARCADY), LINSIG, and TRICS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., CIHT, TPS, ICE).
