The Role:
As an Associate Transport Planner, you will play a key role in project delivery, client engagement, and business growth. You will be responsible for leading projects, liaising with clients, and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver transport planning projects across various sectors.
- Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders on transport-related matters.
- Prepare transport assessments, travel plans, feasibility studies, and other technical reports.
- Work closely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Assist in business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.
- Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, legislation, and best practices.
Requirements
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Significant experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of transport assessment methodologies and relevant planning policies.
- Proficiency in transport planning software such as Junctions 9, LinSig, TRICS, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in business development and client management is desirable.
