We are looking for an ambitious and technically adept Associate MEP Cost Consultant to join our client’s rapidly growing team and lead the delivery of one of the biggest data centre construction projects in Finland.

Please note that for the first year of this role, you would be 100% remote working then be required to work on a rotation to and from Finland subject to project needs.

Role Description:

As an Associate MEP Cost Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering tech sector mega-projects. You will be at the forefront of managing large projects and complex work streams, ensuring that defined outputs meet or exceed client expectations. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, providing mentorship, development, and performance management to support the growth and success of our business.

In this role, you will act as the primary client contact for all cost and commercial-related reporting and quality assurance, ensuring that our client’s objectives are understood and achieved. You will review your team’s work outputs before submission to clients and other external groups, ensuring compliance with contracts and continually improving our services and driving innovation.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee large projects or complex work streams, delivering defined outputs that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Provide line management, development, and performance management of other team members to support the growth of our client’s business.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary client contact for cost and commercial-related reporting and quality assurance.
  • Quality Assurance: Review teams' work outputs before submission to clients and other external groups.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service.
  • Innovation: Use your knowledge and experience of industry best practices to support the development of current cost and commercial management systems and processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Certification: Relevant professional certification (i.e., RICS, AACE or similar).
  • Experience: Extensive experience in a similar role with in-depth technical knowledge, including construction processes and cost & commercial management.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in leading smaller projects and supporting larger, more complex projects.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience delivering analysis and insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working closely with external stakeholders to build strong client relationships.
  • Business Acumen: Proven experience in managing business relationships and supporting middle management activities.
