About the Company:

Our client is an established and thriving medium-sized multidisciplinary architectural practice with nearly 20 years of experience. Originally focused on architecture, the practice has expanded over time, and they are now looking for a talented and driven Associate Landscape Planner / LVIA Specialist to join their growing landscape team. With a reputation for success and a dedication to quality, the company fosters a dynamic and collaborative culture and is excited to welcome someone to help them further develop their Landscape and LVIA work.

Role Overview:

The company is seeking an experienced Associate or Associate Director in Landscape Planning / LVIA to help manage an expanding workload and grow the LVIA sector alongside the Head of Landscape. This role offers an incredible opportunity to take on responsibility for managing projects, leading a team, and helping shape the direction of this sector as part of an already successful multidisciplinary practice.

The landscape team is a strong, close-knit group of six professionals, and the candidate will have the chance to work alongside 20+ other experts in various disciplines. The role will primarily focus on residential projects, but the company is open to diversifying and expanding into other areas of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in both project delivery and business development as the practice continues to build on its success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver Landscape Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) for a range of projects, primarily within the residential sector
  • Lead and manage a team of landscape professionals, ensuring high standards and efficient project delivery
  • Take ownership of growing the LVIA sector, working alongside the Head of Landscape to expand the company’s services
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, securing new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with other disciplines in the practice to ensure seamless project integration
  • Oversee the development of junior staff, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Contribute to business development and strategic planning

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Landscape Planning and LVIA, with a strong track record of managing projects and teams
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in Landscape Architecture or Planning
  • Experience in managing and delivering LVIA for residential (and ideally other) sectors
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in business development and growing the LVIA sector is desirable

What the Company Offers:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Flexible hybrid working options, with the expectation of 3 days in the Surrey office during the initial settling-in period
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Private healthcare
  • Pension scheme
  • Paid company trips abroad
  • Opportunity for career development and progression within a growing team

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join a forward-thinking, growing practice and play a key role in shaping the future of the landscape team. If you are ready to make an impact, manage exciting projects, and take on a leadership role in a dynamic and collaborative environment, the company would love to hear from you!
