Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage four concurrent projects, including two hyperscale data centres, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and implementing adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure projects adhere to high standards of quality and safety, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring they have the resources and direction needed to succeed.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.
Client Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates.
- Ensure client satisfaction through proactive engagement and effective issue resolution.
Design Coordination:
- Oversee design coordination activities, ensuring all design elements align with project requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with design teams and external consultants to resolve design issues and integrate changes seamlessly into the project.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant design standards and regulations.
Travel and Logistics:
- Travel infrequently across Europe to project sites as needed, typically for a few days at a time, to oversee project progress and address critical issues.
- Coordinate logistics for project-related travel, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement and delivery of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting the preparation of proposals and bids.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery processes.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data centre projects.
- Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects and leading project teams.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of design coordination processes and best practices.
- Experience in logistics and OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment management is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Communication:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel:
- Willingness to travel infrequently across Europe for project needs, typically for short durations of a few days.
