Our client is a growing British multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. With offices in Perth and Glasgow, Scotland, they are expanding their geotechnical division and seeking an Associate Director of Geotechnical Engineering to lead their well-established team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic firm that values technical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.

As Associate Director, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the geotechnical team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects across a range of sectors. You will play a key role in technical leadership, business development, and team mentoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical design, as well as a solid understanding of site geotechnics and ground investigation. Your expertise will contribute to the strategic growth of the division while maintaining high standards in project execution.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in geotechnical design, including foundation, slope stability, and retaining structures.
     
  • Strong understanding of site geotechnics and ground investigation techniques.
     
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a technical team.
     
  • Experience in client engagement, project management, and business development.
     
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) with a relevant institution.
     
  • Ability to be in Perth or Glasgow offices at least three days per week.
