Access have partnered with a group of offshore engineering consultancies and contractors who are looking to expand their Geotechnical Engineering and Offshore Structures team in Scotland. Our client forms part of a large group of businesses that operate in the offshore energy space, with our client having an incredible focused niche of subsea design, specialising in anchor design for offshore wind projects.

In this role as an Anchor Engineer/Geotechnical Engineer you will perform engineering calculations for specifying drag anchors and installation methods from a Geotechnical design perspective. You will work closer with the Group’s mooring, Geotech, installation and structural teams, attending offshore operations of the installation of our clients’ products, the majority of which you will have had a strong hand in designing. The ideal candidate will have an open mind for their career path, and revel in the possibility of specialising in a niched skillset that will prove to be an absolute necessity as we move towards a greener energy future.

To qualify, candidates should have:

  • A degree in Civil, Geotech or Structural Engineering

  • Experience in offshore energy engineering – practical or theoretical

  • The ability to work internationally

  • A desire to specialise in a niche area of design

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business who is looking to expand their deign offerings across their entire offshore group. If you have an itch to get into offshore Geotech or structural engineering, this might be the role to scratch it!
